Sam had this vision of proposing to his girlfriend at the Zilker Botanical Gardens for months. I’m talking at least half a year. He reached out to his friends Kyle & Linh (whose Laguna Gloria proposal I had just photographed) for their photographer recommendation and the deal was sealed.
It was an early May morning, brightly overcast. The skies heavy with the threat of a Texas downpour. I arrived to a quiet and sleepy park and beelined to my hiding spot in the bushes of the Japanese Gardens. Sam and I had agreed on the bridge being the best place to ask Ariana THAT question. Sam said he “has a thing for bridges, so this is perfect!”
