I cannot say enough about how sweet and genuine this San Antonio Southwest School of Art wedding was.
The initial emails were professional and chatty, but Katelyn and I quickly became friends. She is originally from Texas but moved to London for school. There she met the adorable Harry at the UCL copy room where according to a bridesmaid “they were awkward around each other.” I bet it was love at first sight ;)
From our first Skype video call to when I first walked up to the group of strange British men in swim trunks; I’m so happy to have gotten to know this family and all their friends.
A London comes to Texas wedding complete with a pool party, a beautiful lace dress and a fun group of bridesmaids and groomsmen. The ceremony itself was simple with a few English wedding traditions including a “English First Look” which involves the groom waiting at the altar with his back turned till his best man taps him on the shoulder and lets him know his beautiful wife-to-be is walking down the aisle and my favorite- the military sword arch exit. Some of my new favorite traditions!
special thanks shout out: Boys swimming- personal ranch, Elissa R, First Presbyterian San Antonio and the Southwest School of Art /Ursuline Academy San Antonio for the reception, and catering and to Julian Gold Bridal of San Antonio for Katelyn’s dress.
