It was an overly warm day for a May wedding at Remi’s Ridge but Ashley and Ryan’s wedding with dog ring bearer Hubble was a blast to photograph.
Ashley is a total sweetheart. I know it’s Texan thing to say, but she has a genuine heart and a gentle sweetness about her. Her dog, Hubble is probably the most adorable and patient dogs I’ve ever met at a wedding! These two lovebirds met in high school while dating other people; they even went to prom together but with different people.
Isn’t it funny how life works and finds a way to put you with your person?
Ashley and Josh were married in front of the beautiful waterfall at the beautiful new Remi’s Ridge at Hidden Falls in Spring Branch. We took their portraits in a breathtaking grove of trees that are covered in Spanish Moss – how incredible is it that this exists in Texas?
I adored hanging out with their family and getting to know each of Ashley’s sisters and grandparents that made it to their special day.
There was dancing, laughing, a few tears and best of all some amazing toasts – about adopting dogs, caring for others, Texans/Cowboys jokes, Hubble, and how Ryan has done an amazing job at being Ashley’s partner. Take a look at their sweet day below.
We had Ashley get ready in the other room next to the bridal suite but Ashley had a great idea to do a “fake getting ready” for just a couple pictures with her girls in front of the suite’s 360 mirror. I loved that idea and it created some really beautiful moments with her and her bridesmaids!
