Where have you visited that keeps ahold of a small piece of your heart?
For me, that’s the ideal Pacific Northwest.
Pine trees, snow, coffee shops on every block, public transportation, scarves, boots, seasons!
Every time I land at PDX and I hop on the train to take me into the city I imagine I’m a local, coming home after an extended trip living in Texas. I’ve visited 3 times now, each time making my thoughts churn on how I can move my life up here and stay forever.
Anyone need another wedding photographer in the Portland or Seattle? I would absolutely be available for all summer weddings in Portland or Seattle for a discounted rate! Holla at your girl.

I’d like to thank the book “China Rich Girlfriends” for my temporary obsession with dumplings. Really glad Portland has an entire block dedicated to food trucks and super happy The Dump Truck satisfied my craving.
Then I took the Amtrak to Seattle for a quick 6 hour visit.

my favorite thing to do on trips is take photos of people taking selfies. Visiting the Space Needle was probably the most “tourist-y” thing I did the whole trip and I can’t say I’d recommend it at 2pm in the middle of a summer heatwave — but it’s not the worst $20 I’ve ever spent.

Then it was back to Portland for a local’s view of the city via lots of food for the remaining 2 nights.

Yes I went to Powell’s twice in one trip. Yes I had to refrain from buying everything.
Thanks Portland & Seattle. I’ll see you again soon, hopefully next time it’s for a wedding!
