I’ll be honest. Proposals are a lot of pressure and stress. There’s a lot riding on you and there’s no time to make anything up if you miss that shot! However, I do so love being able to capture the excitement while sneaking around unseen (usually in plain sight).

When Nassim contacted me for his New Year’s Eve proposal I hesitated. It was going to be after dark on an especially bitterly cold and wet day, downtown (no way to ensure a perfect photograph) during one of Austin’s busiest nights. But I knew I could do it so I set up outside Truluck’s and waited for my cue. Even though I knew Katherine was suspecting something was about to happen that night, I was still so happy to capture her face when she said “yes!”

Their carriage ride around the block to the W Hotel where Nassim had hidden Katherine’s closest friends and family was just the sweetest. Congratulations and happy planning you two!
