Ah Houston. Home to some fun memories of my childhood, visiting relatives in the summer. Electric green grass plush as carpet, Shipley’s donuts and humidity so thick you can swim in it. There are so many more I could name but I think you get the point.
This Houston engagement session is special because it features my cousin Chris and his lovely, adorable, now fiancée Jennifer! Not any old family member, Chris and I are the oldest cousins on my dad’s side of the family, meaning we spent a lot of time together being the *only* cousins back in the early 90s. It was so much fun to re-visit a huge city like Houston with a fresh perspective of a business-running adult and I really enjoyed the brief visits in the downtown/Heights/”inside the loop” area.
Chris and Jennifer are simply adorable together. This was the first time I met Jennifer and after a few minutes of awkward introductions, we laughed together over the silliest things and it really made the session fun.
When I asked them how they met, Chris told me the cutest story. “Jennifer would wait for me to walk my husky outside before running her dog out to “randomly” talk to me.” Wow! How sweet is that?? I fur-mly (ha!) believe in using dogs as an excuse to talk to anyone you find attractive!
Congratulations, and I can’t wait till the wedding guys!
