Taylor surprised Lizzie with a weekend visit back to Austin to see a movie at Violet Crown and catch up with family and friends. Or that’s what she thought and was very confused by his frequent bathroom breaks and nervous demeanor during the movie that night.

Their story starts at Shakespeare’s bar in Austin where Lizzie was managing. One night, Taylor’s favorite band was playing and he invited Lizzie on a date trying to impress her with his “connections.”

It was clear from then on these two were going to make it to forever. So, on an warm and humid December night Taylor danced with  Lizzie in the middle of the sidewalk in downtown Austin while Robert Earl Keen’s Wild Wind was performed by Horseshoes and Hand Grenades– the same band from their Shakespeare’s date.

Tears started rolling down Lizzie’s face when he got down on one knee and asked those 3 very important words. Lizzie’s response? If you know her, it’s not a shock that she shouted “Hell yes!”

We rendezvoused with friends and drank champagne all night. I’m so happy I know these two and so lucky to be trusted with capturing the proposal and I can’t wait for their Houston wedding later this year.winter proposal photographs in austin texas, downtown proposal, austin proposal photographer christmas proposal photographer, surprise engagement, downtown austin engagement photos downtown austin surprise proposal over christmas, austin surprise proposal photographer, proposal photography austin texas, engagement photos at night in downtown austin emotional proposal photography in austin texas surprise proposal celebration drinks at second bar and kitchen downtown austin after a surprise proposal
