I have been looking forward to photographing my friends’ wedding since they booked me. Their chemistry was infectious just like Christine’s smile and laughter. Christine and I share a love of bold, bright colors and chunky stripes that remind you of a Kate Spade design. I arrived to the girls room with laughter and calm chit chat. Christine’s bridesmaids asked if she was nervous and with a giggle Christine answered she wasn’t – at least it hadn’t hit her yet. Christine wore a beautiful white satin dress with a bateau neckline and secret pockets from Alfred Angelo. Her shoes and jewelry are all mixed brands from Nordstrom’s.
We started with a perfect first look at Mercury Hall under the grand centuries old Oak trees of South Austin while vendors were scurrying around setting up for Alex & Chrstine’s fantastic party later. Alex was waiting patiently, fidgeting with his hands in and out of his pockets. He told me Christine would love this and told me it had the grandiosity of the initiation ceremony from her sorority. The two married at their church, Christ Lutheran in a sweet ceremony with promises that were theirs for ages. After the ceremony, we headed back to Mercury Hall to dance the rest of the evening to some Michael Jackson, Uptown Funk and other classics with The Nightowls.
