Since her wedding was early March, the trees hadn’t filled out and the flat Texas grey skies appeared. Thankfully the rain stayed away and we were able to have the ceremony under the heritage Pecan tree on the lawn. Kate’s early spring color palate of dusty blue and blush was perfectly set against the neutrals of the historic mansion and the modern white of the farmhouse at Barr Mansion.
Kate & Corey’s Barr Mansion wedding was so special to me that by the end of the night, I was a touch verklempt about our working relationship being over.
Throughout the year after Kate booked, I felt like I was right there along the way planning and listening to all her questions and offering advice when and where I could.
This is just one of my favorite parts about being a wedding photographer. I’ll be as hands on as you need me to be, but hands off as much as possible during the day itself. It’s YOUR day, not mine.
I love the Barr Mansion and feel so lucky to have photographed this gorgeous, fresh, spring wedding there.

Kate’s theme was soft blues, whites with touches of pink. I usually focus on capturing photos of people but with a flatlay as soft and delicate as this how could I not?

Kate’s dad had passed away a few years ago so it was very special to watch her mom proudly escort her only daughter down the aisle towards to meet Cory.
