Proposing at a restaurant in Austin can be tricky, unless you choose a place known for photography and has beautiful views like The Oasis. Situated right on the lake, it has a private viewing deck high above the restaurant that is great for hiding videographers, family, and even surprise photographers like me.
Rolando wanted to surprise Karishma on their anniversary so he brought her to the 3rd floor viewing deck at the Oasis restaurant to watch the sunset. The lighting was gorgeous that September evening. Perfect for a surprise proposal at a restaurant on Lake Travis.Karishma was super surprised, and in tears the whole evening. There are lots of places for family and me! to hide and get perfect reaction photos every time. Both families were in on the surprise and rushed to greet Karishma afterwards.I love a good ring detail photo with champagne flutes.snuggly portraits after are a must, especially if the views are gorgeous.Once I saw a few tourists take photos at this corner, I knew what angle I wanted to place Karishma and Rolando for their after-proposal portraits.Enlisting family or friends to help set up a romantic display adds a special touch.
