I arrived on a warm sunshine-filled day in Austin to a small yellow house with a stacked stone fireplace on a quiet Austin afternoon. An intimate at home wedding to finish up 2014 was on the schedule for the day. Pratibha & Glen were married in the living room of their amazing Travis Heights home. This was my first time being at a ceremony where it was just me, the officiant, and the couple and I absolutely loooooved it. Hey wedding gods, if you’re listening, I would like more of these please!
After a short ceremony officiated by Spike Gilespie with heart-warming blessings from P’s grandmother in India and words from Shakespeare’s sonnets to round it out we headed around Austin for portraits at some notable landmarks before arriving at Parkside for the reception.
The whole family and guests were incredibly sweet and welcoming and after P & G get back from their tour of India I imagine they will settle into an amazing life together filled with beer cheese, movies at the Alamo Drafthouse and worldly travels.
May you be eternally happy and may you always be the best of friends.
