Alex contacted me about 2 months ago, saying he wanted to propose to his long time girlfriend at Mt. Bonnell in Austin on a “weekend” trip. We hit a few roadblocks during the scheduling but we managed to make it work for my last free October weekend.
So on the morning of this session, I hustled back from Marfa in order to capture Alex and Marissa’s Mt. Bonnell proposal right at sunset. Mt. Bonnell is a CLASSIC location to propose. If you want to propose here, let me know so I can bring a decoy :) This will truly a moment she’ll always remember.
What a true pleasure to capture the sweetest “all knowing” look on Marissa’s face as Alex got down on one knee. After which, she examined her new left hand bling which featured a diamond from her grandmother’s ring. My favorite thing about this job is seeing how and when clients incorporate heirloom jewelry into new settings for modern times.
Ah love is sweet. I hope fall brings many more Austin proposals!
