Do you know what the face of troopers look like? An awesome couple willing to shed coats and put up with cold, grey, semi-wet weather all for the only day that would work with our schedules? You’ve obviously met Ally & Matt then.
It was a major fluke, a happenstance meeting when I introduced myself to these two for the first time. We struck up a conversation, I handed them my card and assumed I’d never hear from either again. Imagine my happy dance when I received an email from Ally wanting to meet up for coffee and chat about wedding photography. To make a long story short(er); I’m so excited for their Laguna Gloria wedding next May and I’m as happy as a cat with a canary to share this awesome South Congress and Town Lake engagement session with you!
The two were big Pee-Wee Herman fans growing up so obviously we had to take a portrait in front of that!
The awesome photo above was a 30 image Brenizer Method and my first successful result in doing so! If you don’t know what Brenizer Method is, take a look at the ol’ google machine and read about the creative genius that is Ryan Brenizer, an amazing NYC wedding photographer. Essentially it’s a super cool way to create an incredibly shallow depth of field using a longer lens while still capturing the scene around the couple.
