I don’t often get to photograph the the siblings of past clients’ weddings. But I was so honored when I got to see Michelle and her family again at hers and Andrew’s intimate Hotel Emma wedding. It had been over 5 years since I photographed Christine, Michelle’s sister, at her wedding and reuniting for another wedding felt like an extended family gathering.
Neither the bride nor groom had an interest in being the center of attention at a large wedding, so the two decided to have just family and a couple friends join for a private dinner provided by Hotel Emma.
The bride’s soft lace dress gives off some light Taylor Swift, Folklore-ish vibes and the groom’s classic blue suit is fitting for a funny, scholarly guy like Andrew.
This intimate Hotel Emma wedding was such a treat to photograph. It’s such a treat for me to see clients and their families again after so many years.

A pocket boutonniere is now my favorite new wedding trend. it is 1000% easier to work with and still looks amazing!

When there’s a gorgeous, dark, academic library at your venue and your dress looks like this??? We’re taking photos.

I hadn’t expected Laurie, the mother of the bride to make an emotional toast at dinner but I loved capturing these candids. Intimate weddings provide such a deeper understanding and appreciation for my clients and their families.

Cheers!
