Kyle had told Linh they were going to an early morning “art walk” on a sunny Saturday morning. In reality, he had reserved a few hours at Laguna Gloria before it even opened to the public and planned a surprise proposal with the help of some friends and with me there to capture it.
This was the first morning proposal I’ve done and I highly recommend it! You’ll have the whole day for surprises and excited phone calls to family & friends. Kyle did all the hard work and had the location all picked out, all I had to do was encourage him to take his time and make sure I had the best spot for photos!

I stood at the nearest bench and pretended to take photos of the water. I knew that if I held still, Linh would walk right past me and not even notice because she would be so surprised and distracted by all the flowers. (Later, when I asked Linh if she noticed me she goes “No! I pretty much went tunnel vision after the second stop.”)
