Planning a wedding is stressful enough without the current state of the world. If COVID has made you reschedule your big bash but you still want to “Do the thing” I’ve got you covered with specially designed prices and packages for elopements, small weddings and anything in between.
But first, let’s go over some terms!
ELOPEMENT VS SMALL WEDDING
The definition of “a small wedding” is kind of nebulous since there are no hard and fast rules with weddings (especially these days…)
However, I consider a “small wedding” (or intimate wedding, backyard wedding, backyard elopement, or micro wedding) to be less than 50 people (Martha Stewart Weddings agrees) but typically has reception elements of some sort. (First dance(s), toasts, meal service)
An elopement is less than 20 people, often without a reception but doesn’t have to be a secret like a lot of people in the past have defined it as!
For reference, most “regular weddings” I photograph are between 75-150 people, and large weddings are 200+.
With more people, it becomes harder to photograph alone and the quality (and quantity) of images is lesser. If you’re only inviting your immediate family + your core friends then there is a greater opportunity for more meaningful moments to organically occur and and fun photo opportunities.
