Like fashion styles and tastes change with the years, so do photography trends. We’re moving away from the overly bright, almost too washed-out status with yellow skies towards something more real and normal. Blame it on the film resurgence or something, but the exclamation “most people’s photos are just TOO FUCKING BRIGHT” is true. Of course, super bright and glowing regular boudoir still has its place (something I definitely love to do and will soon be blogging.) So I’m going outside my box and trying something new. To get better at something you have to practice, right? Right. To get more comfortable with flash and the night I rounded up some girls I knew and set out to some perfectly dingy east Austin locations that weren’t completely unsafe late at night on a Tuesday.

These are my friends Jourdan and Sarah. Best enjoyed when listening to Wilco. :)
