Q: Do you travel for shoots?

Most definitely. I actually love to travel and shoot in new places. Travel just outside Austin and DFW metro area can be accomodated for a small fee. For destination weddings, I require 2 nights hotel (one before and one after the wedding day itself) + per diem & flights (if applicable).

Q: How do we see the photos and when will they be done?

After carefully selecting and editing the best photos from your day, they will be uploaded to an online gallery where you can download your high-res files and order prints.

This usually happens around the 4 week mark, however, during busy season it can be a bit more like 6-8. Your packaged copy will be sent out shortly after.

Engagement, family, elopement and small portrait session photos are ready in 7-14 days.

Q: What should I wear?

Great question! Being a jeans/t-shirt kinda gal, I too, struggle with this question. Generically speaking, wear something you’re comfortable in, that “feels”representative of you and your personality and don’t require fussing and fidgeting all session. If you’ve booked the mini session, remember you only get one outfit so make it work! I’ve created a Pinterest guide here so you can glean some inspiration. Layered neutrals work best!

Q: How do I book you?

A signed contract and your retainer of  1/3 of your total to secure your date. The remaining amounts are split up 1 month out  and 2 weeks out  and I’ll send email reminders so you know exactly when payments are due.

Dates are only secured with signed contract and deposit and are first come first served.

Portrait session payments are due in full up front.

Q: My cousin/friend/parent already took engagement photos for free so can I remove it from the package?

You can substitute the engagement session for an extra hour  of wedding day coverage or use it towards a different session like bridals or a day after session. But I highly recommend trying to make the engagement shoot work. Think of it like a trial run for how we’ll work together on your wedding day.  You’ll know what to expect from me and I’ll get to know you as a couple better! It’s a win/win for everyone!

Q: In case my wedding day runs late, can I add additional hours on the day of?

I will stay if your wedding runs a little bit over the schedule, but more than 30 minutes will be billed for overtime at the hourly rate and no proofs will be posted online till the bill has been paid in full.

Additional hours may be purchased to lengthen your wedding day package as well at the à la carte hourly rate. We can discuss this more at the 14 day mark when we create your final timeline of the day.

Q: Can we have the RAW files so we can edit them ourselves?

In short, no. This is like asking a baker if you can have the flower and the eggs and you’ll just do the work you paid a professional to do. I do not allow any additional editing of my images once you’ve received your files.

Each of my images is edited for exposure, color, contrast, sharpness and tone. These are print ready and are the ones that come on your disc. Any image you order that goes into your album gets special treatment for fly away hairs, distracting background elements (light switches, telephone poles, electrical outlets,) etc.

Q: Do we get a copyright release with the USB?

I want you to display your day and surround your home with images of your love. While I always recommend having your photos printed professionally and taking advantage of your online gallery, your images comes with a print release that allows you to print wherever and however you prefer.
