Okay I don’t like to use the (overused) phrase hashtag blessed (#blessed) but I mean come on. Look at how cute Peter & Mallory are! We bopped around sunny South Congress for their engagement session before hitting up the well-photographed blue doors on the UT campus. I approached the campus with a new angle, avoiding the traditional shots I would get for graduates and trying to keep it looking more like a beautiful estate in France.  What do you think?

Mallory’s kind eyes and smile compliment Peter’s goofiness in ways I can’t even describe. I’m absolutely thrilled to be the photographer for bridals and the sure-to-be-epic wedding this August! It should be a fun time this summer. Come back around for more!

Recently I’ve been assisting other photographers in order to keep my skill set sharp while I have a bit of down time in my own business. Since I’m not the primary photographer, my responsibilities are less, and often different than that of the lead.

For example, I won’t always be in the best spot for the kiss, nor will I be taking bride & groom photos, usually. (Sometimes I can sneak one or two but the angle won’t be my favorite.)

So here’s where this new thing I’m doing called Favorite Frame Friday, will come into play.  Welcome to the first iteration! I have so much more to share, but I’ll start with this one from a Fort Worth wedding at the T&P Station downtown.

I’ll share one shot from a recent wedding that I love and explain a little about what makes it my favorite. Hopefully you love it too and maybe we can talk about it over a coffee or a cupcake at Sugar Mama’s.

I love so many things about this photo. It’s fun shooting a “grand introduction” because it amps up the energy of a reception! Plus, reactions like this, right??

What got me first was K’s reaction, second, seeing J’s face as they walk into their wedding reception at the T&P Station in downtown Fort Worth. The lighting, the Art Deco decor, everything about this venue is amazing. K’s amazing energy kept up the entire night and if you can believe it, she ended up doing the worm in her wedding dress! Now that’s dedication!

Let me know what you think of this in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!

Kirsten’s University of Texas graduation portraits were like photographing an old friend. Her sweet scrunchy smile that crinkled around her eyes is so adorable. During our session we were treated to a perfect spring day on the south mall of the UT campus.

When I asked her friends how they would describe her, they gave 3 words: passionate, caring, and dedicated. Kirsten graduates this spring with her teaching degree, ready to mold minds of Austin area elementary students!

moody sunset photos in a field with a bride wearing a flower crownAudrey and Taylor probably look familiar to frequent blog readers since I shot their engagement session 2 years ago! Holy wow, 2 years have honestly flown by and now look how awesome they are at their wedding at Classic Oaks Ranch in Mansfield.

I believe this is one of the best ranch-style wedding venues in the Fort Worth area. There are many out west and east of the Metroplex but this venue is only 20 minutes from downtown Fort Worth. It gets great light during the ceremony and has plenty of beautiful portrait locations for all styles.

Audrey rocked her floral crown AND veil and Taylor was a great sport during all our portraits. Mismatched brides in gold & blush and a homemade family recipe donut tower. And yes, those donuts were AMAZING. styled invite suite, invitation suite lay flat, rustic boho glam chic wedding invitation inspiration, classic ranch wedding photography in fort worth, fort worth wedding photography, vintage wedding details at a boho wedding ceremony in the fall in north texasmansfield wedding photography, bohemian natural bride wedding photographer, fort worth tx bride, mansfield wedding, classic oaks ranch, fort worth wedding photography, bride looking out window, DFW wedding photographer, flower crown bride looking out window at her weddingclassic oaks ranch weddingboho wedding photographer, ft worth wedding photography, fort worth wedding photographers, bohemian wedding photography, green fall wedding in north texas, fort worth wedding photography blog, north texas wedding photographer, ranch wedding photographer classic oaks ranch wedding ceremony photos post ceremony jubilation at classic oaks ranch, mansfield wedding photographer, country wedding photographs, rustic glam wedding photographs
