Choosing a professional wedding photographer is one of the most important, one that will last, and one that should be the easiest decision you make (besides marrying your best friend.)  I’m currently based in Austin but I have photographed weddings from Marfa to Beaumont and will travel to anywhere you are!

2018 pricing collections from $3000

Intimate weekday elopements & weddings: $600 for up to 2 hours.

So you think you want to hire me as your wedding photographer.

1.) I love telling stories.

Though I began my career as a social media manager for various start-ups, I soon found that my passion was not in the 9-5 life and began photographing weddings for friends.

Fast forward 5 years and with the support of two business-running photographer parents I pursued wedding photography full time.  I have a degree in both Photography and Journalism, and while I still miss the thought of reporting on breaking news, I’m much happier with meeting families and documenting people’s love stories with my camera.

2.) Photojournalistic and organic.

As the day progresses, my goal is to focus on the natural flow — letting you enjoy it without feeling over-produced. Emotional reactions should unfold naturally, not because your wedding photographer is forcing moments. Overly scheduled wedding-day “must have shots” and lists from Pinterest don’t allow for the kind of work you see on my site.

Although it’s hard to miss me, with cameras dangling off my shoulders, I work quietly and with a “fly on the wall” attitude striving to be as unobtrusive as possible. When it’s just the three of us shooting your portraits I’m ready to jump in should you feel awkward (which is totally natural).

3.) I promise to be available when you need me.

Photographic style and professional day-of behavior aside, I really feel that customer service is an overlooked (but vital!) part of the wedding photographer package. I’ve heard stories of other vendors taking weeks or months to reply. My couples always hear back from me during the week, during normal business hours as soon as possible. You can rest easy that I’ll respond to your questions, no matter how big or small.

4.) I’ve got lists (& jokes).

I know how stressful wedding planning can be – it feels like there’s a million things to do and 100 people to talk to at all times and nobody’s all on the same page. That’s why I created my custom questionnaire that each couple receives a month before the day. It goes over everything including what family portraits you (and Mom) would like. (Trust me, she’ll love to be included in this part of planning.) Plus I keep a roster of cheesy, groan-inducing jokes to keep the fun going!

5.) I’ve heard I’m fun!

Most importantly I want to have fun with you on your wedding day. Weddings are a big deal and your photos mean a lot to me. I promise to deliver on time and be communicative. Now let’s have a party.

If you vibe with what I’m saying above, and think we’d be a good fit go ahead and reach out! Just drop a line to my inbox and we’ll chat. See what past clients have said about me here.
