Cedar Bend Events Center Wedding | Hilary + Michael

Hilary and Michael were lucky and received the most perfect spring weather Texas has had to offer yet. Held at Cedar Bend Events Center, this venue’s adorable backyard-feeling was perfect for the intimate group these two invited. Sweet treats were provided by my absolute favorite cupcaker-y here in Austin, Sugar Mama’s Bakery (recent winner of Cupcake Wars!)

No wedding would be complete without a few kinks in the timeline, but fortunately for us these were the best kind. At the last minute, Hilary decided to add a First Look as well as a Father/Daughter dance before opening the dance floor to an an awesome 80′s ONLY playlist they put together and pumped out by Spacecraft Entertainment.

Lovely couple and I know they couldn’t be happier!

University of Texas Graduation Portraits- Alexa

SENIORS! GRADUATION! BURNT ORANGE EVERYWHERE! I love the energy on university campuses right before graduation.. people are studying for their last minute finals while simultaneously wasting time on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. Girls are chattering about what they’re going to wear to graduation and when the parties are. I remember my graduation and how excited I was for a new beginning starting over in my favorite city in Texas, Austin.

Alexa is a sparkly senior who enjoyed her time at the University of Texas participating in her sorority and as a member of the student organization Texas Spirits, the coolest spirit organization I’ve ever seen. She is gorgeous and has spunk and style (check out those boots!!) and I know she’ll find her way in the “Real World.” I was tickled pink when, during our session, Alexa told me she had friends offer to take her graduation photos around the campus but she said she’d rather have a professional which is why she hired me. Aww! Wish her luck y’all!

Zilker Park Engagement Session-Carlyn + John

Before their session, Carlyn and John were complete strangers to me; all three of us existing in the same area of town and doing the same kind of Austin-y things without even knowing it. Carlyn emailed me about my Spring Portrait Session special and saying she and her fianceé needed engagement portraits done for their save the dates. Tomorrow. They had just decided to move up the wedding about 6 months at the last minute!

We did their quick engagement session at Zilker Park the next day even though a windy cold front started to blow through at the exact time we scheduled our portraits. You can see the wind whipping Carlyn’s hair around and around! Carlyn perfectly described her fianceé John as the goofball, sporadic half and quite the opposite of her steady, planning and presented self. Every other frame was either John making a silly face or Carlyn just collapsing in laughter. Our session really reflected their fun selves and I had a wonderful time working with them!
